Lexington, KY, December 12, 2013 by Paris Lewbel, KTVQ-DT An employee at Blackburn Correctional Facility was arrested after being accused of having a sexual relationship with an inmate. Jennifer Wiseman, 37, is charged with official misconduct and third-degree rape. According to court documents, Wiseman began a sexual relationship with an inmate at Blackburn back in July. Another inmate told jail officials that Wiseman would take the inmate, Jason Adams, into the women's bathroom, causing jail officials to open an internal investigation. During that investigation, court documents said officials began listening to recorded phone calls made by Adams. They said Adams made several calls to numbers traced to Wiseman, including one belonging to the cell phone of her 10-year-old daughter. Court documents reveal that many of the phone conversations were sexually explict. Documents also said the two discussed the shift her husband worked. He is employed at the Fayette County Detention Center. Investigators said letters signed by "Angel" that were sexually explicit in nature were found in Adams' cell. The documents said, in one phone conversation, Adams advised Wiseman to put his sister's return mailing address on the letters. His sister's name is "Angel." Wiseman was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center on Wednesday. She is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.
